Plenty? A Festival Exploring More and Less 2022

The Plenty? event at the Barn took place on 22/23rd October 2023. As well as being a traditional harvest festival with apple pressing and juicing, the event explored ideas around how we can work together to live with less to keep planetary ecosystems healthy and sustainable into the future. There was music, film, installation, participatory activities, exhibitions, workshops and talks exploring these themes. https://www.thebarnarts.co.uk/article/plenty

Film screenings took place in the solar powered Moving Images Caravan.  Discussions were led by trailblazing artists and environmental thinkers, a Communities’ Tent with apple pressing and creative activity run by organisations from across the North East. A foraging tour, and  participatory art installations and demonstrations across the site as well as the |Matter| Earth, Materials+ Making exhibition and The Happiness Collectors provided a series of fun, physical tasks to collect some much-needed happiness..

The Far Orchard Zone was there, with Jo and Robbie, The Far Orchard Artists talking about the project and exploring how new networks of care with an ecological focus might be created.
