Our annual festival ‘Plenty?’ returned in October. Plenty? is an annual intergenerational festival challenging art to explore alternative viewpoints, ecological perspectives and economic norms. Appropriating a traditional harvest festival Plenty? foregrounds ideas of ‘degrowth’ in a world that demands more and more.
The festival aims to foreground the impact of environmental crisis at a local level in a focused and productive way, focusing on co-creating knowledge by choreographing safe spaces where experts come together with inhabitants to confront the profound contradictions between the lifestyles, we have built that are destroying the environment on which we depend. The programme is rooted in understanding the Barn as a living site, experimenting with creative encounters across our outdoor and indoor spaces.
